NRF is pleased to announce that Matthew Lunn is joining our team as Manager of Operations. Matt brings a wealth of operations experience to the NRF team from his forty-year career in the private sector. He has had ownership stakes and leadership roles in real estate development, U.S. based manufacturing, e-commerce websites, and an art gallery. Matt looks forward to applying his operational know-how in a non-profit setting and learning more about the behind-the-scenes work that supports grantee engagement. As Manager of Operations, Matt’s work will focus on creating a streamlined experience for grantees and partners and constructing internal processes that help NRF effectively live out our organizational values.

Matt’s decision to join NRF is informed by the same values that drive NRF’s mission. He believes access to a play-based childhood is a key ingredient for a sustainable future and knows that greenspace is essential for communities to thrive. While the philanthropic sector is relatively new for Matt, he looks forward to applying his skillset in a different setting and meeting the many grantees, partners, trustees, and advisors that make up the NRF community.

Outside of work, Matt and his wife raised two sons in Lake Forest, Illinois. This involved baseball diamonds and tennis courts, opening nights and recitals, and family outings hiking the shores and paddling the waters of the Great Lakes and Downeast Maine. We’re grateful to have Matt join us at NRF – welcome to the team!
